Four Hours. Two Critical Compliance Areas. One Hands-On Training.

Join us for a practical, four-hour training designed to help drivers, technicians, safety professionals, and management better understand what enforcement is looking for — and how to prevent violations before a truck ever hits the road.

The program will be led by Billy Bronson, former South Carolina State Transport Police Officer and current SEFA Transportation Manager of Transportation Safety. Billy brings both the enforcement and carrier perspectives to the classroom, giving attendees real-world insight into what happens during an inspection, what commonly gets fleets into trouble, and what your team can do differently.

This isn't four hours of sitting in a classroom. We'll combine focused instruction with a hands-on vehicle walk-around so attendees can take what they've learned and put it into practice.

What We'll Cover

Level I Roadside Inspections

Learn how to prepare your drivers, equipment, and operation for a roadside inspection — with the goal of achieving violation-free inspections.

Billy will cover:

The different levels of commercial vehicle inspections
What the inspecting officer is looking for
The critical-item checklist North American Standard Out-of-Service Criteria
Common violations and how to prevent them
How roadside inspection results affect your CSA scores
Hours of Service and logbook issues
Practical pre-trip and vehicle inspection techniques

Then we'll head outside and walk the truck, putting the classroom discussion into action with a hands-on inspection.

Cargo Securement

A properly maintained vehicle is only part of the equation. What's on it — and how it's secured — matters, too.

We'll cover:

Cargo Securement Standard Model Regulations
Proper selection and use of tie-downs
Cargo placement
Working load limits and performance criteria
Commodity-specific securement requirements
Common cargo securement violations
How cargo securement violations can impact your CSA performance

Where possible, we'll incorporate hands-on demonstrations so attendees can see proper securement techniques rather than simply hear about them.

Lunch Is On Us

We'll provide lunch as part of the training, giving attendees an opportunity to continue the conversation, ask Billy questions, and connect with other transportation professionals.
